Chaos was my job.Dance was my escape.
I was the first and only Project Manager at an Education Technology startup in Atlanta when it was founded. My job was holding together everything that wanted to fall apart: emails, phone calls, meetings, notes, project schedules, timelines. I got good at finding order in chaos, because there was no one else there to do it.
Three years of Ballroom and Latin classes gave my mind somewhere to rest. On the floor, none of that chaos existed. I know the difference between a mind that's managing everything and a mind that finally gets to enjoy the moment.
Dance has given me so much that I want to give back to the people who make it possible in their communities: studio owners. The same order I brought to that startup is what I build into these systems now, so you can spend more time on the floor and less time managing chaos.
